Paper Plate Hamburger
Grilling season is here and it’s time for picnics and barbecues by the dozen! Here’s a fun project to celebrate summertime that the kids will love. They can make up their own special condiments too, the sky is the limit! This makes a great homemade decoration for Memorial Day too!
You will need:
Paper plate
Paint: tan and brown
Construction paper: yellow, red, green
Brown or tan marker
Tools: scissors, craft glue or hot glue
Cut paper plate into thirds.
Paint the middle piece brown and the upper and lower pieces tan.
Cut strips of construction paper for the condiments:
yellow – cheese
red – tomatoes
green – lettuce
Glue the cheese to the bottom of the “burger patty” and the lettuce and tomato to the top of the patty.
Glue the burger patty to the bottom bun. If you like sesame seed buns, use a marker to add dots to the top piece.
