Kix Cereal Hot Chocolate Clusters
Turn a winter classic into a yummy snack. Buttery, crunchy, sweet—Kix Hot Chocolate Clusters are just the right size as a special treat for little ones!
To make Kix Hot Chocolate Clusters you will need:
6 cups Kix cereal
1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups miniature marshmallows
First, prep by lining a large cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. In large microwavable bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter and chocolate chips uncovered on High 1 minute or until almost melted; stir. Microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth.
Stir in condensed milk; microwave 30 seconds or until boiling. Stir in vanilla. Immediately pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
Microwave cereal mixture uncovered on High about 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture is glazed. Add 2 cups of the marshmallows; stir just until marshmallows begin to melt and form clusters. Add remaining 1 cup marshmallows; stir just until combined.
Drop mixture into clusters onto the parchment paper-lined cookie sheet, about 1 cup per cluster. Cool about 30 minutes. Store loosely covered.

Tips: Hot chocolate clusters are best the first day, but will keep for up to 3 days.
For extra hot chocolate flavor, pour mixture into 1-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag; add 2 to 3 packages of instant cocoa mix and shake to evenly distribute.
