Food Art: A Shark for Breakfast
Kix cereal just happens to be one of my kids favorite breakfasts. Couple that with an adorable shark, and you’ve got yourself a winner! This shark breakfast was super fun to make, and did I mention that it’s easy too?! Whip one of these bad boys up for your kids and get ready for the smiles and laughter.
What You’ll Need
Ingredients:
1 English muffin
2 tbsp. of blueberry jam
3 slices of red apple
2 black currants (or raisins)
1 cup of Kix cereal
Tools:
A kitchen knife (please supervise children if allowing them to slice)
How To Make It
1. Grab some Kix cereal and spread them in an even layer on a plate.
2. Slice your English muffin in half. Spread one half with blueberry jam and place on top of the Kix cereal on the plate.
3. Using your knife, slice 3 triangles from the remaining half of English muffin. Spread blueberry jam on these triangles and place them on the shark for fins.
4. Finally, let’s add a face. Take your apple slices and cut out 2 large circles. Place these large circles on the shark for eyes and finish them off with 2 black currants (or raisins). Slice 1 thin strip of red skin from the apple and place on the shark for a smile. Lastly, cut 7 small triangles out of the apple and alternate them from top to bottom along the shark’s smile.
