Food Art: Critter Snack
These adorable little critter snacks are so simple to make! All you need is a heart-shaped cookie cutter, a few ingredients and you’re ready to go!
What You’ll Need
Ingredients (for 2 bugs):
1 large slice of watermelon
2 red grapes
1 baby carrot
A handful of Berry Kix cereal
4 white sprinkles (optional)
Tools:
A heart-shaped cookie cutter
A kitchen knife (please supervise children if allowing them to slice)
How To Make It
1. Use your heart-shaped cookie cutter and cut 2 hearts out of your slice of watermelon. Place these hearts on a plate.
2. Grab the purple Kix from your handful of Berry Kix cereal and place 6 pieces of cereal on each watermelon heart.
3. Using your knife, slice 4 thin strips off your baby carrot. Stick 2 of these carrot strips in the pointed part of each watermelon heart so they stick up like antennae. Stick a red grape in front of the carrot antennae for the head. Optionally, you can stick 2 white sprinkles in each red grape for some eyes if you wish.
