Gingerbread Kixie Treats
Perfectly sized for a party treat, these gingerbread sweets are also fun to bundle up in plastic wrap and a bow to give to Secret Santas, neighbors, or even to leave out for Kris Kringle on that magical eve.
How to Make
Gather your ingredients:
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
pinch ground cloves
½ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon orange zest
1 egg white, room temperature
4 cups Kix cereal
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees, and spritz 12 muffin liners tucked into a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
Mix all ingredients except Kix cereal in a large bowl.
Orange zest adds nice zip to the flavor!
Add Kix cereal and stir until thoroughly coated with the egg white/spice mixture.
Divide the mix evenly into the 12 muffin cups.
Bake for 7–9 minutes until golden brown, then let cool.
Finish off the kixie treats with a dusting of powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Nonstick spray

In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except Kix. Stir until thoroughly combined.
Add Kix and stir until thoroughly coated with the egg mixture.
Evenly divide mixture between the 12 muffin cups, and bake 7-9 minutes, until golden brown.
Cool 10 minutes in the muffin tin, then remove from tin and cool completely.
Place powdered sugar in a fine mesh sieve and hold over the kixie treats. Tap gently to dust with sugar.
