DIY Cardboard Skyscraper and Parking Garage

A lot of times bigger is better with kids so this BIG skyscraper project is sure to be lots of fun. All you need is some boxes, tape and whatever materials you’d like to use to decorate your masterpiece (we used foil and construction paper).

Assemble your boxes as high as you can. Once you have your skyscraper built let the kids have fun making it their own. This one was wrapped in foil.

Then create windows out of construction paper.

Of course the people going into the skyscraper will need someplace to park their cars, so why not create a little parking garage from a cereal box or other leftover cardboard? First, make a ramp by cutting a strip onto one of the garage levels like this.

Using cardboard pieces, glue a few supports between each level.

Draw on some parking spaces and it’s read to go!

Kids are sure to have endless open playtime with their new skyscraper and parking garage set. Create more buildings as you collect boxes and soon you’ll have an entire city!
