Game Day Dip
It’s here! Football season, of course. Kids as young as five years old participate in organized football leagues and clubs all over the country, while their parents wildly cheer them on from the stands. Football is a time-honored tradition in the U.S. and many people make it a family affair. Kids and parents alike flock to the set to watch their favorite college and professional teams while happily munching on prepared snacks.
Here’s a fun savory treat that the kids can help you make. Make your own faux plays with sliced cheese and round rice crackers. Here’s how!
You will need:
Round rice crackers
One slice white cheese
15-ounce can low-fat refried beans
8-ounce container guacamole
Handful of Kix cereal
If you have a rectangular plate or serving dish, that works best. If not, use a 9×9 baking dish. Begin by spreading the refried beans directly onto your plate.
Spread the guacamole over the top of the bean dip.
Cut cheese into strips to make the X’s (a pizza cutter is great for kids!) and use rice crackers for the O’s. Use Kix cereal to represent the trailing slashes where your team should be heading!
This dip is easy to make and comes together in a flash. Enjoy the game!
